【摘要】:Thistestmethodcanbeusedtoquicklydeterminethelubricatingabilityofgreaseslubricatingautomotiveplasticsocketsuspensionjoints.Thistestmethodhasfoundwideapplicationinqualifyinggreasesusedinchassissystems.Thistestmethodisamaterialandapplicationorientedapproachbasedoninputsfromfieldexperiencesforcharacterizingthetribologicalbehavior(frictionandwear)usingrandom,discrete,andconstantparametercombinations.Usersofthistestmethodshoulddeterminewhetherresultscorrelatewithfieldperformanceorotherapplicationspriortocommercialization.1.1Thistestmethodcoversaprocedurefordeterminingthefrictionandwearbehaviorofgreaselubricatedplasticsocketsuspensionjoints,forvalidationofsuspensionjointgreasesandqualityinspectionforthosegreasesunderhigh-frequencylinear-oscillationmotionusingtheSRVtestmachine.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
