【摘要】:Thistestmethodallowstheusertomakeaquickdeterminationofthebluenessoryellownessofthetintundertoneoftitaniumdioxidepigments,versusareferencepigmentagreeduponbythepartiestothetest.Thisisanimportantmeasureoftone,sinceitgivesbothameasureofeffectiveparticlesize,andquickapproximationoftheblue/yellowundertonethatcanbeexpectedwhenacoatingcontainingthetitaniumdioxideistinted.Suchmattersasthevehicleforpreparingthedispersions,andtheblackfortintinghavebeensuggested.However,changesinthecomponentsmaybemadebyagreementbetweenthebuyerandtheseller.Theresultsobtainedwithamechanicalmullerdonotnecessarilycorrelatedirectlywithapracticewheredifferentdispersionconditionsexist.However,dispersionwithamechanicalmullerisaquickandinexpensivewayofevaluatingtheundertoneofatitaniumdioxidepigment.1.1Thistestmethodisintendedtobeusedtodeterminethetintundertone(blueoryellow)oftitaniumdioxidepigments.Thisrelatestotheeffectiveparticlesizeofthepigment.Itisbasedupontintingwithablackironoxide,butotherblacksmaybeusediffoundsuitable.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
