【摘要】:Someenginecoolantsareformulatedwithsiliconcontainingadditives.Thistestmethodprovidesameansofdeterminingtheconcentrationofdissolvedordispersedelementswhichgiveanindicationofthisadditivecontentintheenginecoolant.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofsiliconinenginecoolantbyinductivelycoupledplasma-atomicemissionspectroscopy(ICP-AES).Siliconcanbedeterminedaslowastherangeof5ppmbythistestmethod.Otherelementsalsofoundinenginecoolantcanbedeterminedbythismethod.Thistestmethodisapplicabletothedeterminationofdissolvedordispersedelements.1.2Thistestmethodisapplicabletobothnewandusedenginecoolant.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
