【摘要】:Thisdocumentspecifiessafetyrequirementsandtheirverificationfordesignandconstructionoftransportable,i.e.self-propelled,mounted,semi-mountedandtrailed,woodchippersusedinforestry,agriculture,horticultureandlandscaping.Thisdocumentappliestochippers,usedwhenstationary,whicharemanuallyloadedwithwoodthroughahorizontalornearhorizontalinfeedchuteattheendofwhichmechanicalinfeedcomponents(orchippingcomponentsactingasmechanicalinfeedcomponents)drawthewoodintothemachine.Theincludedwoodchippersmaybepoweredeitherbyanexternalpowersourcesuchasatractorpowertake-off,hydraulics,etcorbyanintegralpowersourcesuchasaninternalcombustionengineoranelectricmotor.Thisdocumentdoesnotcover:—requirementsrelatingtonationalroadregulationsarisingfromtransportbetweenworksites;—hazardsarisingfromanyself-propelledfunction;—hazardsarisingfromthetransmissionofpowerfromanexternalpowersource-e.g.powertake-offdriveshafts;—anymachineswheretheinfeedchuteisfittedwithanextensiontable;—hazardsarisingfromtheenginepullstartingofanintegralpowersource;—hazardsarisingfrommechanicalloading;—verticalinfeedchutechippers;—electromagneticaspectsofthechippers;—shredders/chipperstobecoveredbyEN13683.Thisdocumentdealswithallsignificanthazards,hazardoussituationsandeventsrelevanttowoodchippers,whentheyareusedasintendedandundertheconditionsforeseenbythemanufacturer(seeAnnexA).Inaddition,itspecifiesthetypeofinformationtobeprovidedbythemanufactureronthesafeuseofthesemachines.Itisnotapplicabletoenvironmentalhazards(exceptnoise).ThisdocumentisnotapplicabletowoodchipperswhicharemanufacturedbeforethedateofpublicationofthisdocumentbyCEN.
